Anyone know what state has the highest RN salaries in the United States?
It's got to be California.
According to the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics, these are the states with the highest median salaries for RNs in 2008:
California 80,980
Hawaii 79,390
Massachusetts 76,080
Maryland 74,100
New Jersey 73,030
District of Columbia 72,930
Alaska 71,590
Nevada 71,580
New York 71,550
Oregon 71,250
I'm not surprised that it's California and that Hawaii is second; would love to live in either place for the climate alone, but then I remember the cost of a gallon of milk! I'm content to just visit on occasion!
I think we all move to California for dollar sake. That is not the best, that is why california is having budget problem in the country. Haaaa haaa, everybody like money but don't forget this is a job of mercy according to our foremothers and fathers in nursing. See you, OK.
